DD and I use Panera alot--theres one just 2 blocks away--and they are very good. Lived in a neighboring town and their store was awful!! And they were located the same distance too!! the food was usually cold and kind of thrown together as well as some orders weren't even in our bag--had to call them on that a few times.

I like their soups--mostly the baked potatoe but they are kind of salty. But my fave is a salad with chicken, dried apple chips, many types of greens and pecans and a really yummy apple dressing.  but as with any place now days--their prices are high. Also here near Seattle, Tuesdays are bagel Tuesday--get a bakers dozen for around $12---and they are very good--not NY bagels--I know--but ok for us.

TY for all of the tips, suggestions, and warnings. You gave me some good ideas.

Sorry for those who became disappointed. I empathize. Prices have become so high everywhere. Then when service goes downhill (ususally when management changes) also I kind of think-- I will just cook at home-- but then of course it has to be prepared and cleanup follows. As chief cook and bottlewasher I like a vaca occasionally-but I like my $s worth.Of course my mother's words come back to me"If you have dirty dishes it meant you ate--something not everyone can do."😊

Thanks again.

I used to like their Pizza Margarita, but I have been there in a few years, so it's probably no longer on the menu.

Extremely overpriced and not all that great.  I do have a friend that keeps giving me gift cards for holidays so that is the only time I will waste any $$ on Panera.

For a quick meal, we enjoy Panera because I love good bread and they have it.  DH and I share an Italian sandwich (that is served warm).  Also the Poppyseed salad as well as the salad with Apple in the name are good.  I do watch the calorie counts so sharing works for us.  I was amazed to learn that their chicken and rice soup is so popular...I am not a rice or chicken fan, but I must say it is very tasty.
