@Sooner @SharkE , check out what I did today.  Made the dough in my bread machine and cooked it in the oven.  The top got a bit dark and I did cover it with aluminum foil when I noticed it was getting dark, but MUCH better than my previous attempt.  Hope it's good inside, but I have o wait for it to cool.

Neither, it's Honey Oat.  No whole wheat flour in it.

Anything with oats in it will be healthy.

@Sooner my husband should love it then.  I don't eat a lot of toast.  I prefer biscuits.

@SharkE Butter is the best.  Real butter, although what you can get in the store's not the same as what my grandmother used to churn.

For some reason I'm on a sharp cheddar cheese kick. That block cheese that you can buy. I've been cutting slabs off and putting on salt free crackers. Sometimes just cut it and eat as is.

 

Even though I'm on cholesterol  pill bet my next reading is gonna be higher.
