@SharkE  Bring lots of money to New Mexico... we need it.  Hate to tell you but the weather is going downhill this weekend and we could have rain mixed with snow. 

Do you like horses?  If so, don't miss the Museum of the Horse.  At least walk thru the sculpture garden with spectacular life size horse sculptures.

Next Mon. gonna be in the 70's and high 60's like 68. Not taking shorts just slacks and sweaters maybe a jacket.

We got to get in and out before the cycle rally I want to be long gone before that ilk hits.

Cabin has everything we need. a/c, heat, wifi, dvd player, etc. They allow no pets , so, don't have to worry about the smell or flea aspect.

Looks like Sudderath St. is the main area for me. LOL I want to go to the Iris gardens wonder if in bloom yet ? Photo opp !

hate tha Mtn. time though. LOL we have to wait for shops and restaurents to open if he doesn't get fed lunch by 11 I'll have grouch to contend with

@SharkE  I doubt the iris are blooming yet.  Mine are budding but no flowers and they would be behind us in growth. 

My Ruidoso story.  In 1999, right after I moved here, I met some of my Midland friends there at a cabin someone's family owned.  You turned off the main drag at the US Forest Svc. Building and drove on a gravel road up a canyon. 

We went out to eat one night and were returning driving very slow on this gravel road.  Pitch dark.  All of a sudden out of nowhere steps this huge bull elk, in no particular hurry.  I had no idea those things were that big.  He was only about 6ft in front of us, crossing the road.  I can say it was a thrill of a lifetime for me to be so close to it.  He didn't even look at us.  Thank goodness we were going very slow. 

Maybe you'll be as lucky.

Do you stay hid when the motorcycle bunch comes roaring into town ?

That lot goes to Red River , also. We have to dance around their dates why I'm coming in so early.   Woman at the cabins told us "It can get might noisy around here when they come to town". I told her why I'm beating their time

The motorcycle situation depends on whether the riders are Hells Angels or a bunch of rich doctors riding Gold Wings.   If they're the latter they can be an interesting group.  We met a bunch down in the Big Bend Natl Park area and enjoyed talking to them.

To much noise don't care who they are. Who wants to go on a getaway and listen to bunch of idiots revving their engines for hrs.

I'm going when it's peaceful and just worry about shopping and keeping him from getting to grouchy and griping if I spend a nickel. LOL
