PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME

I bought Grandma's Coffee Cake at my grocery store last week. Had never tried it before. I paid 12.99. I did not think it was anything special.. Now why, if these cakes are available in grocery stores, would I pay 38.99 or whatever they are asking for 2 at QVC? I must be missing something. I won't be buying this item again, because I don't think it was snything to write home about.
