I forgot to buy baking spray.  I want to make banana bread.  Can I use the original Pam cooking spray instead?

@ScrapHappy  PAM cooking spray is really bad for you. You might want to try rubbing butter all over the pan and then coating the pan with flour. Shake off the excess flour.

It’s just a suggestion as there are a lot less chemicals using this method. However, if you don’t want to use this method

regular PAM will work fine.

I use Crisco or butter, then dust with flour and shake off the excess.

Regular/Original Pam is all I've ever used for everythiing.

Regular Pam is fine. I use it for everything, too. I've never tried the baking kind.

For the future, consider parchment paper or investing in silicone pans

for oil-free baking.

There is a cooking and a baking version?  I never knew.

@Still Raining  The baking sprays have a flour mix in them that works a little better with some of the patterned puns like the complex Bundt pans.

Silicone baking pans don't brown the outsides of breads  or pie crusts and baked goods like metal or glass does either.
