Only thing I saw in today's Kitchen show

[ Edited ]

that looks to be nice is K48977  wish it was on free shp

Wonder what the wgt is on it ? Cast iron I usually steer clear of. This

is a good size for us, comes in colors, and would fit my lifestyle.

Re: Only thing I saw in today's Kitchen show

@SharkEAmong the way too many stores near my condo there's a wonderful Sur la Table.  I rarely do more than literally window shop, but recently when I meant to walk right past, the "sale" sign lured me in!

Among other items I looked at, I think I picked up every cast iron piece that would make sense for me who cooks for one almost always.  I've aged out!  Even those smaller pieces are heavier than I'd expect to choose from my cabinet, so even though even the Le Creuset was on sale, I didn't buy.

I used to love using cast iron.  Hope you find one you can.

You can't tell from the picture how heavy it is, the information doesn't tell and mods won't respond. I'm watching David right now and hoping he'll present the piece, but, he may not tell the wgt. either.

I've got 2 of these dutch ovens that's what I call them anyway. One is Rachel Ray the other Nordic Ware. Nordic is half aluminum so that takes out half the wgt. My favorite.   I don't really need this one just like it but if it's like

5 pds or more have to take a pass don't want to put a strain on my wrists and sure don't want to drop on my toes. LOL

Re: Only thing I saw in today's Kitchen show

@SharkE - Just FYI, you only typed the email address for the moderators in your OP (which doesn't do anything in the forums) and tagged just one individual moderator; if you actually send an email to the address or if you take a look at the Customer Care forum to see whether multiple mods have been responding to requests today, you might have more success.

Alternately, if you're on Facebook, now would probably be a great time to pop into the ITKWD chat and ask Stacey if she could have David mention the weight during the presentation later in the show. Good luck!

@SharkE

My 2.25 qt Le Creuset saucepan weighs 6.5# with lid / 5# without the lid. I would guess that the braiser would weigh around 8-9# with the lid if it is manufactured with the same materials.

@SharkE was that you just on the phone with David & Mark Charles?  That caller just bought the set of 3 scoops in RED and mentioned her entire kitchen is RED.  Made me wonder if that was you.
