Olive oil question

My son brought back a square tin of olive oil and a hand-painted oil dispenser from Italy. Once I open the oil, how should I store it? Right now I use virgin olive oil from the supermarket and store it in the pantry, but I don't want anything to happen to this. All of the writing on the tin is in Italian. TIA!
