What does the manufacturer say to use?

I have a butcher block top on my island and use Mineral Oil. I get mine in the pharmacy section at Wally. I have used the Boos amongst other types of pricey stuff and always come back to mineral oil.

I use BooS Mystery Oil for my cutting boards and wooden bowls.  It comes in a cream also.

@chickenbutt  I looked up the cream at amazon and added it to my wishlist for future reference.  Do you use their applicator or a soft cloth?

@CherryHugs I use coconut oil on my bamboo board. I use plastic wrap in a bunch. Easy.

Any kind of surface that soaks in (wood, bamboo, etc) is VERY unsanitary!! It skeeves me out at the thought of all of those meat, chicken juices soaking in. Yuck. I only use glass cutting boards.

You know, I'm bemused that you ask this question.  Go to a decent kitchen store (not a big-box store) and ask someone there what to use.  We've had cutting boards.  We've used oil made for cutting boards and it has served us well.
