Re: Of the Lock N Lock's you own, what one's and for what are you using them?

My favorite pieces are the large containers with mini wheels that are stored in my base cabinets and used for flour, sugar, cornmeal, and family size tea bags.  I use tall square containers for various pasta, rice, oatmeal, and soda crackers.  My husband was a big cereal eater, and I empty cereal into one of the special cereal keepers as soon as I get home from the store.

I'd like to switch to glass, but I'm a butter-fingers and dread the prospect of shattered glass all over the kitchen.

I use large L&L cannister-sized containers to store flour and sugar.

And I use a set of square stacking containers to store salads in the frig and take baked goods over to neighbors. But I don't use them for anything else. And I would never put them in the microwave.

I recently carried some vegetable relish containing garlic over to dinner at a neighbor's in an L&L container. The relish was inside the container for only about an hour, but the container still reeks of garlic even though I've washed and scrubbed it about 5x. That is not good.

i love and use all my L&L. i do like the square shapes better than rounds. Pie carrier and a large square divided one are used a lot. The other ones i use a lot are 16-20oz reheat microwave ones, with vented lids. I use these for soup, etc.

I have and use a lot of them, but the one I use every day is the cereal bowl for eating my cereal. I also use the cereal bowls with their lids for storing leftovers. Of course, the cereal keepers go hand-in-hand with these bowls.

I, too, like the square and rectangle shapes the best.  The ones I use the most are 21/2 cup squares.  Generous size for leftovers.  The pie carrier is very versitile.  I've given a couple as gifts when it has been admired more than once.

I have an enormous collection of Lock & Locks. A few years back I just felt better using glass to store food products. So, as much as t hurts, I've slowly been getting rid of my stash.

I have a whole lot of L&L. The last few years I have purchased the glass and love it. I was leery that I would break it or it would not transfer  from freezer, fridge, oven --but so far it does. I love the ones with the pop up that is so convenient for microwaving without removing the lid.

My favorite is a round tritan bowl with a pop up. They are perfect for DH's lunch that he takes to work. I usually hand wash (because it is so easy) I will buy more if they  start to sell them again.

My main gripe especially with the plastic (& probably because I have SO many) is trying to match the right lid. That is most likely my bad --lack of organization .Woman Frustrated

I have a lot.  I use the pie carrier a lot.  Taking pies or desserts.  For watermelon, fruit, large amount of leftovers.  We use the cereal bowls a lot.  I really don't like to heat in them.  But SO is hard on dishes, so he uses them a lot.  Snacks, desserts, salads.  I also have very old printed containers for sugar, flour, brown sugar.  I also like the containers with handles.  I have three pie carriers and gifted three or four last year.  My newest one was on free shipping.  14.99, Spring garden print.
