Yesterday I got the worst craving for............baked beans, specfically, my baked beans.

Well, I have a casserole dish of beans in the oven now.  I keep watching the clock, cooking time, let them cool, feed my face.

Baked beans, really, why?  I understand a cocolate urge, I understand a pizza craving, etc.

One thing for sure, it is not a pregnancy craving.  I'm old, my eggs are fossils, Jurassic Park grade fossils. lol

Do you ever crave a weird/odd random food?

I get cravings too and it has nothing to do with pregnancy.  Sometimes I crave crunchy foods like onion rings and battered fried fish.  Currently I am constantly craving hot dogs.

I get cravings too, and there is no way I can blame it on pregnancy! LOL!! Now that you mentioned baked beans they are rising to the top of my tasting brain!! But usually it is a need for crunch or pizza or chips or cake...

@CrazyKittyLvr2 , I did a post awhile back on getting a craving for applesauce, so weird.

Lately, I've been eating fresh green beans every single day. It's like I can't get enough of them.

Weird.

And last week while at the store, I saw some big, fat green grapes and my mouth started to water. I had to have them, & then it was hard to stop eating them.

And I don't even care for grapes!

Weird.

Muddling through...

So often odd cravings seem to be for things we used to eat long ago and have somehow overlooked since.  Or something our mom made.  Maybe our brains are rewinding.

My most recent "out of nowhere" craving was for a Little Debbie's oatmeal creme pie. The funniest part was that I couldn't recall when I had last eaten one and therefore wasn't entirely sure that I even liked them. I was speaking with a neighbor about this and she happened to have a box she had recently purchased for her boys, so she kindly gave me one. I did enjoy it, and it was nice to quell the craving, but it was all very odd.  Smiley Very Happy

I too have some weird cravings and do give into them.  I crave marinated mushrooms from the salad bar at supermarket.  I crave Aunt Nellies pickled beets and Polly-O ricotta.  A couple of spoons and I am good for now.  I don't understand any of these and it is usually in the afternoon.  Like you, CrazyKittyLvr2, old eggs, lol.
