I try to put healthy things in like cinnamon and apples. But like someone else mentioned, when I get homesick, I fix it like my mom used to. Just canned evaporated milk and sugar.

I can't stand plain oatmeal and I try my best to avoid sweets. I have a few savory oatmeal recipes that DH and I have been really enjoying. Some of them sound awfully bizarre, but they're actually surprisingly good.

Oatmeal with dried cherries or cranberries, nuts, flax seed, half and half. My favorite everyday breakfast!
