Re: Nostalgic Childhood Candy

OP, thank you for posting this and bringing me down memory lane. I remember those candy necklaces and pixie sticks, and the wax lips, and jolly ranchers, bubble gum cigars and I can't believe how much of that stuff I consumed when I was a child. Even the candy cigarettes...which by the way NEVER NEVER led me to smoke one cigarette in my lifetime. As I recall they banned those sometime ago. But, as a non smoker my whole life, I love the way they tasted when I was a little girl...but, they were not influential in any way. Oh yes...one more thing I remember ....the giant sweet tart...remember when you licked it for so long it made your tongue raw ? Aaah those great memories of being a child in the 60's. I can also remember...if you had a quarter...it would buy you a whole bag of candy. I think I consumed more sugar in my childhood than in my whole adult life {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Astro pops, orange bubbleious, classic peanut M&MS. Tootsie pops loved the owl in the commerci. Grape and green apple bubble gum the 2cent. But I could've existed on M&MS, pepsi and corn chips..

I like it if it's in a cookie...in chip form. Other than that, no.

You mean like these big, chewy ones?

I loved those!!!

The only thing I didn't like was getting a "sweet blister" on my tongue after eating too many.
