I received my new set yesterday. The instructions say to preheat for a few minutes. My question is I want to make bacon and have always been told to start it in a cold pan. Would you still do this in the ninja or would you preheat?

I got Ninja skillets and with all the others I just got in habit of pre-heating.

I got electric cook top.  I want to hear the sizzle when it hits the pan.

I would follow the manufacturer instructions.

OK, what about those of us that have been using our sets for years?  Several sets in my case.  Is this rule for all metals and non-stick coatings?
