Re: New Instant Pot Model (Duo Evo Plus)

Well my TSV IP was just delivered, and I’m keeping it. It does seem small for 6 quarts, but it will probably get used more since I can keep it out on the kitchen counter. If I were to buy the Duo Evo Plus, I’d go with the 8 quart. I would send the 6qt TSV back and order the 8qt from WS, but it wouldn’t be delivered until mid October. I don’t want to wait that long! I’ve been binge watching IP recipe YouTube videos, and I want to cook some of those yummy looking meals.

Ok, Instant Pot Goddesses....I'm seriously considering the 3 quart size...do any of you use your instant pot to make beans?  If so, how do they turn out? Given my food allergies, etc. beans are a huge part of my diet and I'm looking for a way to make them quickly from dry.  Thanks in advance for any information shared.  I greatly appreciate it.

Oh my!  You have no idea how good beans can taste until you cook them in an IP!

Good choice!

I have a 3Qt. and I use it everyday;  sometimes 2X a day.

It cooks FASTER than the 6 and 8Qt IPs!

@RinaRina  You are getting me excited!  I cannot wait for my pot to arrive.  I already have my autumnal order from Bob's Red Mill and cannot wait to start cooking!  Thanks again  for sharing your insight with me and happy cooking.

This model looks really impressive. I really like that the inner pot can go on the stovetop as well.

Yes I cook beans in my IP - it's a dream for cooking beans. As for the beans - check out Rancho Gordo. They're not the cheapest beans available but you won't find any better.

@Misplaced Parisian   Did I ever answer you on the 3 qt?  We have one for the two of us and absolutely love it.  We use it way more than the 6 quart for small batches of soups or beans, hard-boiled eggs, veggies and a lot of other things.  It is great!

If you want enough beans to freeze several batches it isn't big enough for that, but for a few servings it is great.

@Sooner  Thank you for your response.  I truly appreciate it.  I did purchase the 3 quart, but haven't tried it out yet.  Small batches of beans is exactly what I need.  Happy Cooking!
