Has anyone tried the Nespresso Vertuo machine? QVC is offering one for $159.00. I had a Delongi espresso machine for two years and the motor went out.  Any thoughts about the Nespresso?

We just like our coffee black. We are from the "old school". Great tune from John Connelly.

My DIL had a Nespresso.  It lasted around 5 years but recently died.  It made delicious coffee.  It needed special (expensive) coffee pods.  I would pick up some for her when I came upon them.  Amazon is a good source for the pods and the machines.

Re: Nespresso machine

@Sis3

There was a thread abt  a yr ago  abt  various Nepresso machines models.

 There were complaints abt a specific Nepresso model  the Q sold  Vertuo Next as TSV  Nov  2023  and  I saw the samme model being sold  at  Marshalls  and TJ Max stores.

 I have a Nepresso- Breville Vertuo with water tank on the side  that I bought at Bed Bath Beyond   4 -5 yrs ago . Mine has worked  fine , only wish the coffee was hotter. This is echoed by others who have the same machine which is not a malfunction . The coffee  comes out tasting better than my old Keurig.

We have one but it has not been used for at least 4 years, I gave away all the pods. I like it but guess we preferred the regular coffee.

Good luck on whatever you buy!  If you are a big coffee drinker, Nespresso Vertuo is probably not the machine for you.  It does use more expensive capsules that you buy from Nespresso. My husband loves the variety they offer in taste and size and has no complaints about the coffee not being scalding hot.

It makes in general stronger coffee than regular coffee pots make, and espresso.  If you drink on a pot of coffee all day it probably isn't for you unless you put the 12 ounce brew in a keep-hot cup, mug or thermos.

I think the problems with the Verto machines have been solved in general, however if you buy the machine from the Nespresso web site you might be better off if you have to return or exchange one.  You can also get reworked (renewed?) "fixed" machines from them.

We have a Vertuo machine (husband--likes more regular and flavored coffee) and an Original line one I use (have had one for 20 years and only drink espressos).  We always buy from Nespresso site--great shipping and customer service for us so far.

I agree with everything @Sooner wrote.  Nice machine, excellent coffee with nice variety, but the pods are far more expensive than the regular pods for the other Nespresso models.

The Vertuo pods are not readily available in most stores, other than Target (and who knows for how long) carrying some Starbucks varieties. Also the Nespresso website, to me, is the best option for the pods. I don't buy off of Amazon since you never know the expiration dates.

Yes I have this but I use the nespresso espresso machine more.  The coffee the vertuo makes is stronger which I like and it is not flavored unless you buy the flavored pods.

I recently purchased and had much difficulty getting this to work. After many

attempts, had to do a factory reset and now working. Hope it stays this way.
