Not overkill if you really use it and up your consumption of fruits and veggies! But you have to take the time to use it.

Make sure the bottom inside is smooth. Mine had a depressed ring inside (if that makes sense) food was always staying down in that inverted ridge.

The Quiet One, to save $500.00 to $900.00, I'd put up with the noise of a cement mixer.
