Need help with bacon "done-ness" issue when cooking beans in a crockpot

My husband started a pot of beans last night in the crockpot. He says he cut up a package of thick sliced bacon and started the bacon in the frying pan until the fat was almost done. Then he put the bacon and some cut up ham in the crockpot with beans. They were cooked on high all night and were bubbling this morning.

Will the bacon be done? You can't tell by looking because he didn't cook it to brown or crispy.
