When we had our party we were fortunate to be able to borrow chairs and folding tables from our church.

Looking at others suggestions and further thought, why not host this at your regional park?
I mean, parking, bathrooms, safety of having 60 people all in one house? Doesn't sound good. I agree, children take forever in the bathroom. Just saying, you'll have more fun and so will your guests if you host it at a park. Enjoy![]()

Honestly, that's a stellar of an idea. It would be easier on the seniors mentioned in a previous post too. Fantastic Idea Skylands!!

I would rather over-estimate than under-estimate.

I would try to keep everyone out of the house as much as possible. I've been to parties without tents, but the food was set up nicely in a garage or porch.
At some point folks will be in your house to use the bathroom. I would close all bedroom doors, or doors to other rooms, and keep most of the house dark. Lights on only in the kitchen, and bathroom, and halls to the bathrooms.
I've also hid the TV remote to encourage folks to stay outside.
Plan some children friendly activities such as, bubbles, chalk, water balloons, water games, or coloring books.
I also like to set up a small table on the side with a choice of a few insect repellents, hand wipes or sanitizer, sunscreen, Tylenol, and something for an upset tummy.
HAVE FUN!

One thing that I have done is to cook the hotdogs/hamburgers a short time before party, place them in the bun and place them in the plastic bags they came in. Get a cooler and store them inside there until it is time to eat. Surprisingly it has worked for me and they are still warm. Sounds like a fun party.

IMO the park is a much better place to have it. 60 people is too many in one house, unless its very large. Things may get messy. Just the bathroom alone. Seems like invites would be going out soon, not a week before event.Looking at others suggestions and further thought, why not host this at your regional park?

We've hosted parties for close to 50 people but they were open house parties so not everyone was present at the same time. It is much easier in the summer when many guests choose to be outside. We have a large home yard. At one time I did all the food preparation but no longer. I've found in the long run it is cheaper to have a caterer.
I would rent at least 2 portable toilets. We have 3 bathrooms and at every event, someone did something causing one to be shut down.(not to mention the plumbing bill incurred)
60 guests is a lot to take on, particularly if you have no experience. It is also outrageously expensive.
Good luck.
