@house_cat - You can also buy these great little choppers directly from Kuhn Rikon's website (be sure to get the Pull Chop, not the Chop Chop, which isn't as good). There's even a 20% off code posted in a banner at the top of the page for the holidays.
(But if you're not in a hurry, QVC really does have the best deals on these choppers with their set of two when it's in stock—I've bought at least eight of these little wonders over the years, and everyone I've given them to raves about them as much as I do!)

Thanks, everyone!
I went ahead and treated myself, despite the price. We'll be moving in the next six months and we're already packing. I don't want to buy anything else that's hard to pack, so this is what I need. I'm giving my KA stand mixer to my son, just to avoid packing it! I use it almost daily, so I'll splurge and buy myself a new one when we're settled in.

Years ago, QVC sold a bigger Kuhn Rikon pull chopper with two bowls. I love that device. Then they started selling the set of 2 pull choppers. I bought two sets and used them as individual gifts. I agree that this is one of the best devices. I prefer the larger size for my needs, but the smaller ones seem great too.

I got a Quisinart from HSN, it was less than $30,00. It came with a couple of knives and 2 jars. It's also taller than the one on QVC. 724-610

I got the same deal on QVC, and have also gotten the smaller choppers through Walmart, where you could buy a pair for about $20.
I like the larger size, which I don't think even KR offers now, because not only is the bowl bigger, but there are three blades as well as the plastic piece that scrapes things from the bottom of the bowl. The third blade helps the chopper do a better job, compared to the smaller unit. But they're still good.
Amazon has dupes of this chopper that are well-reviewed and may be good alternatives.

I love this chopper so much that I bought a back up. I used to only do that with make up. I really wish they would bring back the Vidalia onion chopper. I've had two of them and eventually they break. Stuck with all kinds of the dicer parts but nothing else. Progressive makes a chopper and that one just broke before Thanksgiving. I am not hard on them I use them a lot and especially during canning and freezing season.
