Need advice better than bouillon

My recipe calls for 8 ounces beef broth...according to the better than bouillon jar is says to dissolve 1t  in 8 oz of boiling water, and for every quart of stock needed use 1.5 T.

Question:   does that mean if I only want to use 1.5T of the better than bouillon that I prepared using 8oz. of water?  Thanks!

I have not used this product before...

To me it reads 1 teaspoon for 8 ounces of water

Re: Need advice better than bouillon

I use 1 teaspoon in 4 cups of hot water when I make a beef broth for one of my recipes.  I would say start with 1/4 tsp. and stir until mixed. Taste it and then add a little more until you get the strength you want. Once you get the hang of using this you will never want to use anything else. I use the beef, chicken, and the vegetables ones. Love them! Good luck. Smiley Happy

Better Than Bouillon is VERY salty. You might want to taste test.

@I am still oxoxyes it reads 1t in 8 oz of water but then goes on to read use 1.5T for each quart needed.

If I just want 8 oz of stock I am to use 1t but if I want more than 8 ounces use 1.5T for each quart.

Why would the measurement be different for 8 oz vs more than 8 oz?

Don't use any other salt called for in your recipe until you find the strength you like.

I've tried Better Than, and to be honest I hate the taste of it, as well as the texture. no matter how it is mixed.  I try it again about once a year, but end up tossing it every time.

Well fudge....I am starting dinner...french onion soup....and I do not want to run to the grocery store.   I guess I will try it this time to see how it tastes.  I will eliminate any extra salt.
