I am trying to decide between a kitchen aid 7 speed or the cooks essential 5 speed. Any advice? TIA

I have several hand mixers and the huge kitchen Aide bla bla bla. I use the hand mixer more than the big one. It's easy. Which one? Whichever one I can reach at the time.

They are all pretty good.

Cannot speak to either of these models, but I DO have a Cuisinart which works like a charm after 12+ years.. I used to think they were disposable, went through one about every 2 years, till I found this one-

I have a little lightweight cheap GE hand mixer I got when I was married 50 years ago this September. It's made many a batch of heavy, thick cookie dough and is still going strong.

I have the KA 9 speed. Have owned for several years now. I would go with KA. I haven't been overly impressed with CE the last several years. I personally think their quality has dropped way off.

I have this one and I really like it. http://www.brevilleusa.com/the-handy-mix.html I use it all the time. I also have a Kitchenaid Artisan 9 speed with a bag and attachments. I have only used the Breville and would buy another if I had too. I have had others though I am partial to my Breville.

I have the Kitchen Aid 9 speed and love it. Have had it for several years. I hardly ever pull my large mixer any more. Plus it came with some attachments.

I'd actually recommend the Cuisinart. I got one as a present a few years ago and instantly gave away one I'd gotten from Q (a brand they no longer sell.) I like it so much, I ended up gifting other friends with it (pay it forward?) Really great attachments, so much so that I don't need a food processor for most chopping. I make a lot of soup, so it's very handy.

Another vote for the Cuisinart.

If you're still deciding between the two you mentioned, I'd go with the KitchenAid.

I have one that has the Betty Crocker logo stamped on it. I bought at a Dollar Store about 5 or 6 years ago and I'd buy one again if the motor goes......
