Re: Need Suggestions for Personal Blender

I have the Ninja Blast portable blender.  I didn't care so much about the portability but I guess it's a nice feature.  It blends very well - I use frozen fruit, almond milk, protein powder, a little honey, some chia seeds.  It blends the frozen fruit extremely well.  Liked it so much, got a second one for our camper.

@patticakes

I have a Magic Bullet that gets used daily. I use 1/2 of an Atkins protein shake (I found Atkins blends and thickens the best), one or more types of berries, pineapple, and ice cubes. I pulse the mixture a few times first, and then blend to my desired consistency.  I also use mine to make frozen coffee drinks like you would get at Starbucks, and frozen chocolate drinks like you would get at Dunkin' Donuts.  As for blending greens or other types of vegetables, I can't speak to that, because I don't make that type of smoothie.

If you go to the Walmart website and search for Magic Bullet 4 Piece Personal Blender MBR-0401WM, Black, that is the one I have, and it's less than $20.00. I've had mine for over a year, and if it broke today, I would purchase the same one again.

Walmart has free 90 day returns, so if you don't like the item or if it can't handle the smoothies you want to make, you are able to return it for a full refund.

No, it's not my Vitamix, but it takes up less space on the countertop and cleanup is a breeze. You can also drink out of the blending container!

I like blueberry banana smoothies. I use frozen organic blueberries & bananas with unsweetened almond milk. I don't add sugar to any of the smoothies I make. There is plenty in the fruit.

There are tons of smoothie recipes online. Vitamix has 22 pages.
