I have been thinking about getting an electric pressure cooker, but would appreciate any recommendations on brand, size to get, features etc. Thanks in advance!

Hi StaciesMom,
The instant pot on Amazon.com is a great electronic digital pc. and the features it has are multi features with various pressure modes you can choose to set yourself.
It also has a great inner stainless steel pot, so no eventual Teflon related defects to be expected.
They also offer replacement parts and this is their latest model.
Go to Amazon.com and in their search bar type in
Instant Pot IP-DUO60 7-in-1 Programmable Pressure Cooker.
This is their latest model with an inner stainless steel cooking vessel.
For cook books look at Lorna Sass, a pc pro and Bob Warden's 2 cook books, both at Amazon.com.
Good Luck in finding a pc and happy cooking!

I've got one from Cuisinart via Amazon that DH and I LOVE. I got TWO from QVC and after about 6 months they each quit working.
The hard part of relying on reviews at the product site is they generally are posted after the first use, not after having it for a little while. Try to look out for that when reading reviews.

These things are the greatest since "sliced bread." The one recommended by America's Test Kitchen is the Emeril T-Fal and it has almost perfect reviews. it does browning, saute and simmer as well as pressure. I use the browning feature on my pressure cooker ALL the time. You don't need to dirty up two pots (the browning pan and the pressure cooker) --can do it all in the pressure cooker.
And I love having it come to pressure and then time itself. And keep warm. I really like these and in winter, I cook maybe once a week with this kind of pot and then I don't have to cook for myself on work nights.

I also have the Cuisinart CPC600. I like that it has a 3 yr warranty. Most only have 60-90 days or 1 yr if your lucky. My Cuisinart quit working & I shipped it back to Cuisinart & they sent me a new one.
When you buy one make sure it has 15 PSI on high.
