I am going to a ladies night tomorrow night at someone's home. I need to bring an appetizer. I would like something easy but not your typical "chips and salsa." We will be outside so it won't be anything I can keep warm for a long time. It won't be in extreme heat either so that's not an issue.
Someone is bringing a fruit and cheese platter which shot my idea of the grape salad. LOL
Any tried and true easy appetizer recipes? I need relatively simple because I work until 5 and won't have a ton of time in between to work on something. TIA

You can make tortilla roll ups tonight and then slice and put them on a platter tomorrow night. I use the sun dried tomato tortilla, ham and cream cheese. I use a 1/2 packet of Hidden Valley Ranch dip packet to 1 block of cream cheese and mix together. Spread on tortilla, add ham slices and simply roll up. I cover it in plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to slice and serve. They are ok outside because they don't last long anyway!! Have fun!

This is easy, pick up a package of nice crackers, red pepper jelly and some cream cheese. Guests can layer the crackers with the cream cheese, then the jelly. I guarantee it will be gone before the night is over.

Within minutes one can skewer fresh fruit or cherry tomato, fresh mozz cheese & fresh basil leaves for a winning platter for any get-together. Enjoy your friends, whether new or old . . .

My son made these a couple of weeks ago for his wife's baby shower (their first child and my first grandchild), he used some sort of cheese tortilla and also spinach tortillas. We inhaled them like all fine well mannered ladies do!!

Thanks ladies. I don't know if it's because I'm starving but all of these sound wonderful.

This one was the big hit at my event! Thank you to luvpoos and all of the posters who suggested this! Our supermarket carried jalapeno jelly, even though the one I used was from Hallmark.
