Mine is on it's way out, doesn't toast evenly anymore. I don't need anything fancy, just to make toast and bagels. I rarely use it for anything else. Any suggestions??

I'd love to get rid of mine. No matter how I try to clean it, it's always an eyesore. If I were you, I'd get a good wide-slot toaster instead. I would do that in a heartbeat, except my husband and son heat up a lot of leftover pizza and the toaster oven is good for that.

Just got rid of my microwave and do not plan on replacing it, just don't like the unhealthy aspects of it.

I would love to get a toaster oven with a convection oven also . Would be thrilled to get rid of my toaster also.

Hopefully the cooking, gadget experts here will know of some good ones.

I have a Black and Decker Toaster Oven ... Model #TRO480BS.... and I love it. It has different settings for keep warm, bagel, broil, bake or toast. A separate setting for temperature control if you bake ... and of course settings for lightness/darkness for toast/bagels and a timer.

I use mine mainly for toast and bagels as well. However, it works great to reheat pizza, subs and rolls...I do those on the bake setting.

Easy to maintain and I have never had any problems with it at all... I have had it for about 4 years.

Hope this helps.

If you have an outlet mall with a B&D store, you can get a toaster/oven for $10. Generally the same one is on sale all the time, BUT you can get an under-cabinet mount for it.

I used to buy them 3 at a time. When it got to looking tacky, I tossed and took out a new one. Wasn't worth the time to clean it.

In December, I used AMEX points to get 4 of the large Breville Smart Ovens, one for me. (In December, you get a 35% point discount from AMEX). Have had for two months, and never looked back.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. It toasts far better than any toaster oven. I can make my bagels and English muffins the way I prefer (toasted on top only. Can hold a 13" pizza for convection baking. My Emile Henry 10½" baking stones are a perfect fit, even with the handles. I could never go back to a regular toaster oven. I like to roast vegetables, and can do a small amount for me without using my large oven.

I use it more than my microwave/convection oven (the microwave/convection is actually much wider, so I only use it for baking when using a half sheet pan or when roasting a larger bird).

Black and Decker--use it almost daily. Got it at Kohls when they had it on sale and I had a coupon.

I have a Welbilt. Have had it for about 12 years without a problem. Before that I had a Black and Decker. I prefer the Welbilt - easy controls, good size, lightweight. It has been the old reliable when I don't want to use the big oven!

Microwaves unhealthy?

I think the KitchenAide convection looks pretty nice.

I love ours. It's simple and small. Along with the microwave, I use it a lot in the summer, too.
