Why not check for someone in his area that makes gift baskets.  My mil and fil loved getting baskets with multiple layers and opening several packages in their basket.  Most grocery stores make baskets.

How about Surf & Turf? I got it as a gift last year & really liked it.To be exact I got 4 filet mignon & lobster tails. It came with herb butter & twice baked potatoes.

@gigy  Have you checked out Omaha Steaks?  I've gifted and also received and they were delicious and individually packaged so very convenient for one or two persons.  There are some great holiday deals out there on them.

......You look like I need a drink.....

Re: NEED ADVICE / HELP ABOUT GIFTING FOOD

Thank you all for your suggestions. I think checking out one of the local markets where he lives and having a basket of different things might be a great idea. Also Omaha Steaks, maybe going to their website. My brother in law is along now since my sweet sister passed away and he does not cook for himself and eats out of cans which is horrible.

@gigyCheck out Zingerman's.  They have all types of food, including food of the month clubs.  It is one of my favorite places to visit and take classes.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

Re: NEED ADVICE / HELP ABOUT GIFTING FOOD

That's a really hard question.  People are so picky now days and are and are not eating this and that.  Maybe a package of something small you KNOW he likes (Godiva?) and a gift card to a favorite restaurant or supermarket?

Or a little candy he loved as a child and a gift card?
