Re: Most disliked vegetable.

I don't like to eat vegetables, but I find that if I get mixed vegetables with beans in them I can stand to eat them.  That's really the only way I can get my vegetables ever, though I can't do it every day.

I'm a real veggie lover, but I don't care for turnips - never have. Woman Frustrated

Hahaha.  Turnips are just about my favorite vegetable ever!  But I love that we all have such different tastes.  Smiley Happy

Re: Most disliked vegetable.

I was going to say I like all vegetables, some more than others of course.  But after reading through this thread, I realize there are some I would only eat in a certain way.  Rhubarb and okra, for example.  I can eat okra only if it's deep fried and I can eat rhubarb only as a pie with enough sugar in it to disguise the rhubarb.  But I really, really, really love broccoli (lucky me).

Re: Most disliked vegetable.

It's funny to see how many of us don't like lima beans. I think that they have a bitter kind of "mushy" taste to me.

I also don't care for whole chick peas, like when they're put in a bowl of minestrone soup.

I do like them however, when they're used for hummus, so I think that it has to do with how they're used and how they're prepared. Smiley Happy

Re: Most disliked vegetable.

Definitely agree on cilantro.  My DH is still mad at me from about 25yrs ago.  We were at Chilis and someone in the area ordered something with cilantro, we were just starting to eat, I got up and left the place, never been back!!!!!   Asparagus is also something I cannot eat, I told Daddy "it's yucky" He said "eat it!"  I took a forkful, chewed it up and then THREW it up, right in the middle of the table.  Needless to say, he never issued that statement to me again.  I have found HiddenValley dip helps me some raw veggies, cauliflower and broccoli raw.  Sometimes raw is better than cooked or steamed. Vinegar helps with beets. ----------tedEbear
