Meredith, the BLUE JEAN CHEF, Cooking Demonstrations Again!

Exclusively on QVC's streaming channel are some videos of Meredith Laurence giving fabulous cooking demonstrations!  It's similar to the videos she used to do a few years ago when QVC showed them on Christmas Day.

In one of them, she's making chicken sandwich pockets from scratch, of course, while highlighting some of her own products.  I loved watching this because there's only a slight mention of her kitchen tools.  There's no pricing or selling.  The streaming video does have a QR code you can use to go directly to QVC's website if you want to shop on your phone or tablet for her items.  There are also a few product item numbers on the preview screen of the video.

The other Blue Jean Chef videos:

  • Smash Burgers
  • Easy Glazed Pork Chops
  • Knives 101 -- She's actually not cooking in this video, but giving a tutorial on specific knives to use on different food.

Meredith is such a pleasure to watch!

Doesnt Meredith also stream on facebook?  I think she does or did at one time.

Re: Meredith, the BLUE JEAN CHEF, Cooking Demonstrations Again!

I think she used to have cooking videos soon after she left QVC.

But now on her FB page are lots of posts of dishes she has cooked, and a link from FB to her own website for the recipe.  Her website has lots of photos and text for instructions.  It's a wonderful repertoire of her recipes and cooking techniques -- but no videos.

I like sitting back and getting used to the recipe as she is actually cooking it in a video.

Love watching Meredith.  My only issue isn't her fault -  every time I watch I end up trying to rearrange my condo kitchen cabinets because I want lots more pots, pans, knives, serving pieces even as I know for me that;s ridiculous.  Having them wouldn't mean I'd actually use them.

Yes, in addition to posting recipes on her page every day, Meredith often hosts live cooking shows/classes on Facebook! She's such a joy to watch. Her last class was actually quite interesting—she provided demonstrations of three recipes and tips for using the electric reversible grill/griddle she recently brought to QVC:

I don't do a lot on Facebook, but it's always nice to take a break and scroll through all the delicious things she shares. She also has an e-newsletter that shares similar content, and I sometimes "save up" the messages so I can enjoy an hour or two of exploring new recipes and ideas when I have free time.  Smiley Happy

Re: Meredith, the BLUE JEAN CHEF, Cooking Demonstrations Again!

@homedecor1    lol     I don't live with enough space to buy lots of kitchen items, but years ago when LisaR and Joel did all the pearl shows, I bought way more pearls than I ever sensibly should have.   We won't talk about how many I've worn fewer than one or two times.

I've seen the comment many times that we wear 30% of our wardrobe 80% of the time.  I think that true of lots of things we buy -  they don't get used much at all, but we still like having them.   I am pretty much saved from overbuying nowadays because I've downsized from a snowbird life where I lived in a 3 bedroom house with full basement and attic + my condo.   Now only the condo.

One of the "presents" I gave myself when I turned 80 was a promise to myself not to buy anything unless I knew where I had space to display it or store it easily.
