Memories of vegetable bowls from the 1940s-1950s

When we ate at Big Mamma's on Sundays, usually, she had what she called vegetable bowls.  They had a gold rim around the perimeter and had a designed sort of edge to them, not scalloped and not just solid.  Just underneath that gold rim were little flowers of pink, blue and yellow.  Those flowers reminded me of the pillow cases and table runners that ladies embroidered back then.   Does anyone remember those?  One of Big Mamma's had a crack where she had forgotten and set it in the oven when it was too hot but it was not broken and she used it for years with that crack.

She had another that had a wheat pattern but I cannot really remember it as well as the ones with the little flowers.

Yes, I remember those bowls.  I have one that belonged to my grandmother.  Pretty bowls, good memories.

Mymi.  Those do bring back memories.  I wish I had (at least) 1-2.
