I have a blood phobia anyway. I can't bring myself to eat some roast. They look bloody to me. I can eat steak medium. I know the longer you cook beef, the tougher it gets. So it's medium for me and medium rare for my husband. Lots of men seem to like it that way with more women eating steak medium.

@beach-mom wrote:@SandySparkles - We're trying to cut down on red meat, but we do like a good steak once in a while! We use very little seasoning - maybe a little Montreal steak, then I have a mix of garlic and some other spices I like. That's if I grill them inside.
If DH grills them outside he doesn't use anything!
I like my steaks medium. DH likes his medium-rare.
We used to make Sukiyaki at the table with strip steak when the kids were home. It was fun! We haven't done that in a while!
@beach-mom Welcome!🥰 WOW! I have never made Sukiyaki but LOVED❤ it at a restaurant!😁 I can imagine the kids enjoyed watching you prepare it! For years I cooked my steak to about medium, then discovered medium rare and it was a match made in heaven!!😊 I sometimes miss eating meat when I think of a good medium rare steak on the grill! I too, used Montreal Steak Seasoning!👍
THANK you SO much for caring to share!🤗

We both like them medium or pink. DH made ribeyes on the Pit Boss with the seer plate open. The steaks were perfect. I ate a steak sandwich with my leftover steak last night for dinner.
He also makes them on his Made-In griddle on the grill which turn out good.
We have been using 2 T Worcestershire sauce, 1 1/2 T, soy sauce, 2 T olive oil, 1 1/2 T fresh lemon juice, 1/4 t garlic, 1/4 t pepper

Only seasoning on both is salt and pepper on top. Our steak...rare always - melts in your mouth and delicious with a quick outside char. The burgers, medium rare. I can't do well done grilled beef. Like chewing on a boot 🥾
@bmorechick Welcome!🥰 I was never brave enough to try rare!😁 I did not know what the hype was surrounding Wagyu beef until I had some at a restaurant. I had seen it on television shows, restaurant menus, and my dear brother SWORE by it! It was SO tender and juicy! If I EVER eat steak again, that is what I will order!🥰

@SportyShorty07 wrote:@SandySparkles I love medium rare steak! Steak is fun to cook- I've made dry rubbed tri tip, marinated grilled carne asada, some cheesesteak sandwiches and steak fajitas.
@SportyShorty07 Welcome!🥰 WOW! You are the steak cooking QUEEN!😁There was a time when I enjoyed tri tip sandwiches from a quaint barbecue stand! My family still LOVES❤ carne asada anything!😄

@QVCkitty1 Welcome!🥰 I think medium is perfect for anyone that does not want to see no more than a little "pink"in their meat or an occasional steak eater.😄

@Nonametoday wrote:Haven't had a steak in 28 years. DH has 1-2 per year. He has to cut down on red meat and especially steaks. He likes filets cooked with nothing, medium. No steak sauce. Just steak. We go to a steak house that is notoriously high the one or two occasions each year and I think they season his steak while cooking, but he doesn't. Doesn't matter. That's the only one he wants if he only has it 1-2 x per year, so he doesn't mind the high price, since it's a rare occasion and the steak is delicious. I get lobster.
@Nonametoday A GOOD steakhouse steak is SO well worth the extra cost! I understand why your dear husband FAVORS one!😊
