Today’s lesson:

Check for used k-cups in the Keurig before adding hot water to one's instant oatmeal. Coffee water in apple-cinnamon oatmeal tastes very bad. 🤮🤢

@SunValley

LOL! Good advice!

Sorry , but I had to chuckle at this, it sounds like something I would do!

@KingstonsMom maybe I should have tried pumpkin spice coffee! Lol

I bet there are some "good" bad mistakes out there to share. Bride of 20 with no cooking experience or food budget --I served my poor husband something in paste instead of white sauce to pour over toast.

Clarification: the paste debacle happened years ago. I'm a decent cook today!

My first post in this forum. Hello ladies,

Well, hello there @SunValley ! Your post made me laugh. I work in a busy office, and I can't understand why people just won't wait around to remove their K cups. Also, if you are new to cooking, I find Allrecipes.com to be very helpful with great recipes. Be sure to read the reviews of the recipe, because they are helpful. Also, there are many helpful youtube recipes out there. That's how I learned to butterfly a chicken.

@PA Mom-mom so sweet of you to provide a good solution to my poor cooking. I should have been clearer that this happened years ago. I was just setting the scene, so to speak. Thanks to some lovely women in my husband's family I became a pretty darn good cook. They could have rolled their eyes at me and been mean, instead they were kind and generous, giving me the confidence I needed.

@SunValley Thanks for the clarification! I can remember some of my cooking goofs too. Like t the time I added the cheese powder to the boiling macaroni when cooking a box of mac and cheese! Thank goodness it was an inexpensive mistake.
