Good stuff, it has never been easy to find here in Southern California, but my Dad was a Texan, and like your Mama, there were certain things we HAD to have Durkees for!!

ITA that stuff by any name or brand is just Nasty!! I know it is needed for some recipes but I do not wan to eat it straight or even see traces of it. Mustard better and no to very few calories.

Looks like we're in the minority - DH and I can't stand mayo or any of its relatives - Miracle Whip or even ranch dressing. YUK. Never understood why slathering this goop on sandwiches and in salad dressing was a good thing. Masks the taste of everything else on the sandwich or salad to me. I eat a salad or sandwich for the flavor combo of the ingredients, not the greasy, heavy taste of the goop.

Miracle Whip. The only time I have mayo is if wherever I buy a sandwich from puts it on there.

I grew up using mustard and that is still what i prefer. But not the yucky yellow stuff - guldens brown mustard.

HELLMAN'S AND ONLY HELLMAN'S. We used to love Miracle Whip, but that was before we lived near a salesman who gave us a bunch of Hellman's coupons and we tried it.

My favorite, though, was the mayo that our lunchroom lady made when I was in first grade. She's probably long gone by now, because that was in 1941. But it was so good. I used to put it on my Jello, dip potato chips in it, and beg my classmates for their share. Wish I had that recipe.

Neither. No mayo type product of any kind. The thought of eating it makes me gag.
