Ah, got it.  I keep forgetting no one is allowed to have an opinion anymore.

To quote yourself "so why do you care?" what people post?

Oh, right...you have an opinion about it.

Slate has an amusing review.  Like how lazy do you have to be to use a gin & tonic pod instead of simply mixing gin & tonic water?  And how much booze could you buy for $299???  Plus these pods are $2.25 and $3,99 apiece.

What next?

I have fresh ground coffee in my Keurig every day, using the adapter cup😀 I don’t use the pods that often.

To @Karie2022 and those that use the adapter cups - can you use them with all Keurig's?  I thought they changed something a couple years ago where you could only use their K-cups?  Something about the machine could read the top of the K-cup and it wouldn't accept other brands?  Is that still the case?

i do have one of the older kurigs, but is one that "reads" the pod. think it's called a 2.0 or something.

anyway, i do use the adapter pods, (seems they read the purple top), but many times i have bought pods that SAY they are for the 2.0, and the kurig will only read about half of the pods. sooooooooo, i have to make a little x in the top of the pod, and put the generic fill your own pod lid on the pod to get it to brew.  shame, when i ordered the pods, and can't return them locally. not worth returning by mail.

i think after this case of pods, i am done with the premade pods, and i will just fill my own.

you get better coffee that way, anyhow.

Re: Maybe I'll get a Keurig now...

Reminds me of the Juicero. The Juicero was originally priced at $699 and was a machine that pressed pre-packaged bags of juice into a glass for you. The bags of juice cost between $5-8 each.

They dropped the price of the machine to $400 (bargain, am I right?), but with articles coming out with titles like This $400 appliance that squeezes juice out of a bag appears unnecessary and Juicero CEO Begs You: Do NOT Squeeze Our Juice Bags, they were doomed. The company went out of business 16 months after the product launch.

The articles about the company downfall also had great titles, like Squeezed out: widely mocked startup Juicero is shutting down. And the post-mortem articles were even better, like Juicero is still the greatest example of Silicon Valley stupidity

And I shake my head at forum scolders who think they have the right to tell other posters that they can't post their opinions about a subject posted here.

Wow, how did I miss this one??  LOL

Anyhow, guess I should have mentioned the "lazy" comment was my incorrectly paraphrasing The Slate's review title:

"Keurig's New Drinkworks Home Bar is Perfect for the G&T Lover Who Can't be Bothered to Mix Gin with Tonic".

Yes, I look at this all differently now.  If I'm an occasional drinker concerned about wasting maybe half of a tiny bottle (8 oz.?) of tonic that may go flat before I have another G&T, it's definitely my right to spend $299 + pods to save...what?  50 cents?  (Too "lazy" to look up what a 6-pack of mixer at Walmart costs.)

Calling myself lazy -I crack myself up.

Call me a purist - but if it isn't hidden by a brown paper bag - what's the point?

Gee, I have no idea, my Keurig is probably 2 years old, so not sure.

Take time every day to enjoy where you are without a need to fix it

Thank you so much for your replys. That has been the one thing that has been holding me back from getting a Keurig.
