Sure don't get all the hype because he loves and respects his mother. That should be a given for anyone who was raised by a decent mom. Actually, I think the father/son relationship can be a more difficult one, and I respect a man who honors his father.

Oh Aunt G you should know what your talking about before you come into a positive conversation with negative comments! If you have watched David long enough he tells the audience that he loves and respects his "Single" mother for her love and hard work.

So what's all the hype? The hype is the story of a loving, respectable, hard working single mother who raised happy and loving children who have happy lives and a son who loves and appreciates her work and efforts.

Sometimes it's better to say nothing when discussing a mans life unless you know the history. In today's social nothing is a given everything including love and respect are earned not as you say "Should be a given".

David ,I think your relationship with your mother is wonderful, loving, and the sign that you two love each other very much and that's a pleasant blessing in life.

Sadly, many sons do not grow up with postive paternal influence, my son among them..Yet he grew up to be a wonderful man and father despite having a father who abandoned him.

Whatever the reason and it is none of my business, it could NOT have been easy for his mom to be raising three children alone in the 1960's

David certainly has a right to his privacy, and should protect it- this is a quote from the artcle about him earlier in the year:
