Need suggestions. Tired of waiting around to boil water when I suddenly want a cup of tea, or to make oatmeal, or even to quicken making pasta.
We have one at work, its a water cooler with red/blue knob for hot/cold water. But its so big.
Anyone have anything they can recommed for the kitchen? Thanks

Don't have a suggestion but I use the microwave for everything mentioned except pasta--LOL!! I would think a hot/cold water cooler would be quite expensive plus you would have to have the water delivered in those big bottles?????

@qvc chick, I have had this Avalon unit for about three years now ( homedepot.com/p/Avalon-Self-Cleaning-Bottom-Loading-Water-Cooler-Water-Dispenser-3-Temperature-Settings-UL-Energy-Star-Approved-B3BLOZONEWTRCLR/301886192 ) and have been very happy with it.
The hot water dispenses at approximately 145 degrees.

I looked at the one @Marp has it looks really nice. Takes smaller bottles and bottom loading means no lifting heavy bottles. Wish they were available when I was raising a family.

Restaurant Supply
Elkay DSWH160UVPC Hot/Cold Countertop Water Dispenser - 1 GPM $3317.99
Compact for the counter.
For that price, I think it would be to my advantage to stand by the microwave for 2 minutes waiting for my water to boil....heck, I would
even wait 5 minutes by the stove for water to boil. But, I guess time is money so this might be an option for some.

You could also use Sunbeam Hot Shot dispenser for $19.99. Amazon shows in stock soon order now.
InSinkErator sells a hot water dispenser from around $200 to over $700. Lowe's has it. Their Best Seller is $239.
My dad always used a Hot Shot.

@qvc chick I gather you do not own a microwave.

My water cooler (I get bottle deliveries) has both hot & cold options. It's from Ready Refresh (formerly Poland Spring). The hot is hot but definitely not hot enough for making hot tea w/bag or instant oatmeal or the noodle type soups in a styrofoam cup and things like that. You really need to have water come to a boil for those type of things.......IMO.

Get an electric hot water kettle. They heat up super fast and are inexpensive.
