I agree with wmsbgshopper--make sure you get one that whistles or shuts off if electric. Other than that, they all do the same thing--boil water. Just pick out one that pleases you and fits your budget.

I love my Corelle whistling tea kettle, 10 years old, still looks brand new, matches my kitchen perfectly.

For a while the enameled Chantals were all the rage. The big stainless cookware companies have great ones too. I've had All Clad and Calphalon.
Definitely go for the whistle, as others have mentioned.

I've had two Le Creseut Tea Kettles over the years and I've been very happy with them.
