@qvc chick A 5 lb. bag of AP flour contains between 17 and 18 cups. A 5 lb. bag of sugar contains about 11 to 12 cups of sugar. Most L&L containers are listed in cups capacity. I keep all my flours in L&L, but I just keep sugar in my Domino's sugar container I got years ago.
ETA: I also keep my brown sugar in L&L along with my sugar bear.

I bought this set 4 years ago and went back and bought another one (K47535). Not available right now, but maybe as "baking season" begins again. My whole pantry is L and L.

Be right back...gonna look up what a sugar bear is...i may die of cute-overload....
Ah, i see it is something you put in with your brown sugar to keep it from hardening. Adorable.
I live in Sarasota, FL. My sugar never hardens, always humid here.

@qvc chick- I keep my flour and sugar in the set of 4 L&L tall cannisters. They are square so you can get a scoop inside to measure and they keep the sugar soft for a long time. I don't know the item # but if you type in L&L tall canisters, the # will come up. I've had them for about 12 years and that's all I use. I have 2 sets and use them for oatmeal, brown sugar, different kinds of flours, etc.

Search LocknLock Easy Essentials Food lids/Pantry Storage/Airtight containers, BPA Free, Square on Amazon.
I use the 11 cup for sugar, brown sugar & powdered sugar. I use the 5.5 cup for turbinado sugar.
They have the 18.8 cup you can use for flour.
I use a Progressive ProKeeper for my flour.

I have the tall canister set, but NOT the nestables. They're perfect for bags of flour and can easily fit two bags of sugar. I also have the medium canisters for cocoa powder and those things that I purchase in smaller quantities.
Both of the items I mentioned seem to sell out immediately. I think they usually restock them in January.
