Hello - I want to do big batch of tomato sauce and meatballs for the Freezer.    I know I should use Tritan or Glass, as it may stain regular LL.

What do you guys use??  I am looking  for maybe 10-12 cup size, or larger, but I can not locate anything that big!!  In Tritan or Glass Only.

Help!

@qvc chick   I just ordered some bowls.  You get 3 and they are big. I always freeze my sauce.

I use my Foodsaver for freezing sauces. Easier to store than containers.

Re: Lock n Lock suggestions - Freezing Sauce - need large size!

I can't recommend a size but whenever I have tomato products or anything really greasy that might stain, I put a plastic bag into the L&L, fold it over the sides, then put the proudct in.  Then I gather up the bag, fold it over, then put the L&L cover on. When I'm ready to use the product I just remove the bag (or spoon out what I need)  and my L&L isn't stained.  I try to find inexpensive bags for this when I can. This idea may not be for everyone but it works for me.

I freeze in plastic vacuum sealer bags, I put them on cookie sheets to freeze them so that they stack and store easily. They are available in rolls so that you can make them the size you need, they also defrost more quickly for me but it sounds like you freeze very large quantities.

This is what I do as well. They are great for either individual or two person portions and easily fit into the freezer.

@Carmie  That looks so nice and organized! Plus it looks like it's easy to see what you have. You have given me inspiration to freeze more items!

@qvc chick   I  use Glad containers.  I don't care if they turn red.

@We rescue cats  Thanks for the explanation.  I like the idea of the hand held beause if using the vacuum on liquids and the bag has to lay down...well that is were I have issues.

At least with the hand held you can use it with the bag in an up position.  Thanks!!

Would glass canning jars work that you could put the amount of sauce in them that you need for recipes ?

I like the way @Carmie does hers. Takes up less space.
