Re: Lock-n-Lock mess today - so disappointed.

Call that Lock and Lock lady with the red hair who dresses like a chef of Lock and lock... she seems to tell everyone that this product is so great. Hmmm....

I lost faith in LL esp. in their customer service. I think the product is fine but I have tried to get them to honor their lifetime guarantee and they have not. I have bought a lot of LL. The product is good but their customer service stinks.

I loved it when Chris when hold a full container upside down over her head. Just once, it would be fun to see a backfire.

Re: Lock-n-Lock mess today - so disappointed.

{#emotions_dlg.sneaky} I'm done with Lock & Lock. Got my first piece years ago and it accidentally got put in the dishwasher (still don't know who did it, kids and DH would not 'fess up) and it was warped and lid wouldn't fit anymore. It's almost like it shrunk.

Heck with that, I don't need something in the kitchen I have to baby and that doesn't perform for me. I need something that does what I need it to do and that can be thrown in the dishwasher. I also don't want or need anything that the lid leaks. That would just make me mad.

So I won't ever buy more Lock & Lock. Things like that, they get one chance with me. I don't have time for stuff that doesn't perform.

Like the others, I've never had a Lock & Lock that was not airtight and liquid tight to leak - well, except the ones with pour spouts and the little opening door of those oddly-shaped ones.

At least one of the locks must have opened up when it rolled over.

BTW, and just meant to help, if transporting food in containers, I've always found it handy to take a box and put a towel or blanket in it, then put the container in the box. That will secure it from falling over in the car or trunk. Smiley Happy

I've also never had any of my L&L containers leak, and I have dropped several. I've also never had one warp in the dishwasher; of course, I do put mine only on the top rack.

As for the "Lock and Lock lady with the red hair who dresses like a chef of Lock and lock... she seems to tell everyone that this product is so great. Hmmm....," well, yeah, it is her job to tell us that the product is great, which it is.

I think she does a good job presenting.

Is Chris really a chef or does she just dress like one? I don't think she does any kitchen / cooking presentations beside LnL.

I think she is/has been a professional baker. I really like her.

I've never had a problem with the L&L products, though I do double-check by turning it upside-down & shaking it over the kitchen sink.

I believe they've said on air numerous times that Chris Pryme once owned her own bakery, so I don't know if that qualifies for the "chef" title, but she's certainly an experienced baker.

I've never had this happen, but I do notice a lack of "odor control." I've been washing these items on the top shelf of the dishwasher for years. Lately when I open the frig I can get hit in the face with a blast of garlic spaghetti sauce, pizza, or whatever I have stored in Lock & Locks. So this problem is my own fault.
