Lidl grocery stores

[ Edited ]

Made my second-ever visit to a Lidl store and found it much more interesting  than my first visit a few years ago.  Will definitely go back, especially for some of the nice fresh produce at bargain prices.

Discovered some of the same meat and seafood items sold by Rastelli on QVC, such as Faroe Island salmon and a variety pack of grilling meats that was recently offered on TV.

It appears to be a German company, but Lidl has different owners than Aldi which is also German.

Duke's mayo is also sold at Aldi.

I think there is room on my shopping agenda to visit both stores, although I noticed that both sell very similar products in identcal packaging but under the different "brand" names.

Lidl's meat selections are far superior to Aldi, however.

Have one about 3 miles away. It's right across from one of 2  local Aldi's. I've never been there, but I know my neighbor says Lidl hasa nice selection of meat. Maybe I'll have to stop in there.

I have a Lidl store near me. I went in there twice and both times said never again. They put Lidl on most of their items, which I found inferior to the brands I usually buy.

We have a Lidl near me, fairly new, last 2 years. I've been twice. That was enough.

To be fair though, people in a local Facebook group I belong to say that this Lidl is not their best offering. Since I've never been to another, I can't compare.  And I'm not interested enough to seek another one out.

I bought one of their famous pretzels during my 2nd trip there, a few months ago. It was cold and tasted like moist dough and I took 2 bites and threw the rest away. That was the only purchase I made there over 2 visits.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Did you think Lidl's Rastelli prices were much better than QVC's?
