While in college, I worked in Macy's Cellar and so sold Le Creuset. It sold well.
However, at this time, there are alternate brands available for much less $$. Just take a look at the lid on that TSV. If that isn't a turn-off, I don't know what is. Working with that Le Creuset Dutch oven is not going to be easy: the lid has no handles - I mean real handles. It has protrusions, which must be rotated prior to removing the lid. And, one best have the most excellent oven mits or pot holders to make this happen safely.

And please don't forget the outlets! We finally have one in Oklahoma City and the ladies who work there are wonderful! Some of their items are seconds (and I have bought several of them and had NO problem) but they have first quality too. Shipping is usually free or reasonable.
They will get the piece out, check the lid fit, and tell you if there are any flaws they can see.
They have LOTS of sales, especially around holidays! I LOVE the outlets! And the people in Yemassee SC are super too! I have ordered from them many times.

IMO the Staub is heavier than Le Creuset overall for those who are concerned about the weight issues. Plus, IMO, Le Creuset is easier to clean and I prefer the light colored ceramic interior to the dark interior on Staub. So for me Le Creuset is a win-win overall. It cooks really well too.

I agree. I have both Staub and LC and also find the LC easier to clean and with the exception of a 1.8 qt Staub Terrine I have a better overall cooking and cleaning experience with the L C. As for sales LC is never included as part of the 20% off monthly coupons that Sur la Table or Williams Sonoma have, but both of those stores allow discounting on the Staub in Store and on line. Both of those stores have very good clearance sections that include the very high priced items as well. I got my LC 5qt oval Dutch Oven for around 140 and a 2 3/4 qt all purpose purpose pan with skillet lid for under 100 at SLT (both in Rosemary) when they were on clearance.

Does anyone know when we will see our $20 QVC gift card that we got with purchase of this pan with the Q card?
Thanks
Deb
