Thanks!
Hi techsupport. Your sentiments were mine about 5 years ago. I wanted a LC dutch oven but stumbled at the price. Found a Martha Stewart 8 quart dutch oven (similar to LC) at Macy's for $35 in a discontinued sale. The color is a toothpaste blue which MS discontinued. I couldn't believe it and practically broke my neck running to the cash register to buy it, I was so pleased. Fast forward 5 years later, the interior has worn away and my food sticks in a few places. I shutter when I think, my family and I consumed the missing interior. YUCK. You get what you pay for. Needless to say, I am saving up for the LC 9 and 13 quart dutch ovens. This was my experience, but I hope your experience is better.

There shouldn't be a problem with a glass top stove. I used to have a glass top and I couldn't imagine why glass would be a problem. I wish you the best.

When I go now, I'm shocked at the prices, but I suppose they're better than retail stores. Being from the east coast, too, I'm betting you're talking about the Clinton or Westbrook, CT outlet. Just a guess.
Last week I got a GREAT deal on some LeCreuset stoneware at Marshalls. I know LC's stoneware is made in China and I'm not too crazy about that, but their quality is wonderful. Better than some stoneware manufacturers. I got an oval baker for $12, 11.5" deep baking dish for $20, a rectangular baking dish for $12 and a 7" baking dish for $7.50. I may be off on the exact sizes, they're my best guesses. These dishes were offered only in red, which was fine with me.
ETA - they did have red pie plates, no bird, for $12 also.
Hi Coffee Drinker. Actually I'm currently living in Mid-Atlantic and I shop at National Harbor and Leesburg outlets, outside of Wash DC. I'm from NY. I've seen similar deals in Marshalls. I typically like to purchase unique colors in brands, so I've passed on the Marshalls. Somehow, I think unique colors will be more valuable years from now. I'm sure the quality is the same at Marshalls. Those really are great prices.

The online sites prices are just as good as my nearby LC outlet. I like the bakeware/microwave line too, not as pricey. But the pricey Dutch Oven has earned it's keep. It's my soup pot, roasted chkn pot, stews, it's the best. And I can't believe I am raving about cookware. But it's true, you never go back.
Absolutely. Most of the chefs on Food Network seem to use LC cooking vessels. I have Barefoot Contessa cookbooks and she speaks highly of french cookware. Bon appetit.

I love Le Creuset!!!!! I have two very large pots and use them all the time. You get what you pay for and with Le Creuset it will last you a lifetime. As far as the Martha Stewart brand is concerned, I had it and it discolored and rusted. I returned it to Macy's for a full refund. There's a reason its always on sale and so cheap - "its NOT durable". Like I said, you get what you pay for.

I should have returned my MS pot. Did you know LC has a 15 quart goose pot. Now that's a big pot.
It retails for about $600. I'd never buy it but I think LC is worth every penny.

Have you ever seen that thing? How many would it take to get the pot and the involved goose in the oven???

Well if the goose helped, probably not that long. Lol.
I love my Le Creuset! My large Dutch Oven is my most used pot.

If I were to save up and buy one piece, which do you think is the most versatile?
I have 2 of the round dutch ovens.
either those or the oval, they can go stovetop or in the oven.
Marshalls has them often

I have also seen this line at TJ Maxx. The Q used to sell Staub which is similar, also made in France. I only bought one 8 qt. pot when it was a TSV & wish I bought more! I've had this pot for years & it looks like brand new. QVC PLEASE BRING BACK STAUB COOKWARE!!
