My oven will be used on Christmas to bake two large pans of scalloped potatoes that my DH's sister is making. I was going to heat a large spiral ham up in my 12 quart Nesco, but discovered the Nesco is not nearly deep enough. Would love some suggestions. I was thinking of cutting up the ham and heating the slices in the Nesco. It is a fully cooked ham.

@AuntG, I hear you! I bought a Panasonic microwave convection oven to cook scalloped potatoes when I make ham.
Can you do the ham ham in the morning and then serve at room temp or warm in your Nesco? I don’t mind ham cold. LM

I like to pre slice my ham, it cooks faster and I can cook only what I need. No need for a big pan that way. It's just faster and the ham stays hot that way.

@AuntG what we used to do is place the ham in the Nesco and then cover with heavy duty foil (roaster and ham). Worked like a charm for us!

@AuntG If it were me, I'd slice the ham, lay the slices on their sides like a fanned deck of cards so that just a little of each slice was peeking out (not sure how to describe this) and drizzle just a little bit of some ham glaze over the slices. You could even do this the night before.
I'd probably put them in a foil pan in the Nesco so I could just throw away the pan after I put the slices on a serving platter. I'd cover the top of the pan with foil and warm the ham slices slowly.
You can throw the bone and leftover ham in the freezer for beans!

I never have cooked my ham. I only buy a pre-cooked Honeybaked ham. I serve it at room temperature. No fuss, no muss and pretty darn delicious!! And saves the use of my oven for other foods that need to be cooked.

I am all for using a pressure cooker to heat a fully cooked ham, if you have one....This makes for a super moist and heated ham, that makes a wonderful presentation, especially on the concave cutting boards, that I bought here on the Q several years ago... and your oven is free for whatever needs to go there...
Don't need a plater, as the cutting board stands on it's on.....

I'd cook the ham early in the morning and cover tightly with aluminum foil.

Thanks all. Since I want to serve it warn, I'll use the Nesco and 'tent' it.
