Here is a guide to egg size and grade from the American Egg Board. It includes a size substitution guide.

 

Thanks to this, I now know the name of that white stringy thing in raw eggs. Plus I learned there are pee wee eggs, which I've never seen for sale.

@noodleann---great chart noodle!! am going to print that out for my refer. I buy large eggs but get alot of different sizes in that large carton-----thx!!!!

Have to thank OP for making me chuckle too-Woman Very Happy----I bought ducks eggs from a local neighborhood farm that have a very large yolk and almost no whites---they are delicious--- the yolk is probably the size of what 2 large yolks are. Baked egg bread using them that gave the bread a nice yellow color-----
