LOL  I was thinking it was a type of fabric.  Waffle Knit or something.

I bought this also. I love it. I love waffles but rarely made them cuz the iron was a PITA to clean. Not anymore! I haven't tried omelets in it yet, but may have to try hashbrowns & omelets this weekend for a treat!

It's not the waffle maker but the recipe for the waffles themselves.

What recipe did you use?

I haven't found a bad waffle maker yet (I have 3) but it's the batter

that reacts different to each waffle maker.

Hi @Just Bling. Could you elaborate on your last line? I'm curious as to your findings.

Hubby bought me the Cuisineart Double Waffle Maker for my birthday and I love, LOVE it!
This machine was tops on America's Test Kitchen.

So far the waffles have not stuck and they turn out great, yet I notice a difference in the waffle texture; it's different to the texture you'd get in a restaurant.

Re: Krups Belgian waffle 4 with removeable plates

I have a Belgian waffle maker but mine only has 2

I have a heart shaped waffle maker, just had to have that one and that was from William Sonoma many years ago.

I also have a Cuisinart which is 4 spaced maker.

What I'm saying is that they all make waffles, thin and thick but it's the actual waffle recipe that makes the difference, not the waffle maker.

I've tried using complete pancake mix waffle recipe, American's test kitchens waffle recipe, one out of Betty Crockers cookbook and haven't found the perfect restaurant waffle make at home yet so I was hoping someone would share.  I did ask one restaurant their secret for making delicious pancakes and they told me they add a touch of maple syrup to the batter.  Looking for a light fluffy tasty waffle.

I bought the waffle maker  from qvc after watching In the kitchen with David.....I have not tried some of the other suggestions I was so happy with the machine....I also have others and they are not anywhere as good as Krups....Just my own opinion. You may feel its the batter but I think alot has to do with the machine......
