@happycat   If you see one on line, you probably should buy it right away.  I see that they are out of stock nearly everywhere.  Of all the retailers I checked, Bed Bath and Beyond has some at my local store, and Best Buy has some online - but I wouldn't wait if you really want to get one.

Wow, looks like a lot of people will be getting these mixers for Christmas.

BTW, I have one that I got from Mervyns about 20+ years ago, it's still going strong, and a great investment.

Best Buy had them on sale again for Black Friday, but they're all sold out now. I got mine back in early November on their first Black Friday sale and it's the 5-quart bowl-lift model and was on sale for $199, down from$499 at the time. It's a really good mixer. I wouldn't pay $499 for it, but at $199 it was too good of a deal to pass up. They do seem to be selling as quickly as they hit the shelves this year.

I found her one on the Kitchenaid website. I got a 6 qt, it was refurbished, so I saved a little money. 

I'm so excited, I think she is going to love it, thank you all for your suggestions. The folks that told me if I saw one I liked, I better jump on it, I think you were absolutely right.

There's a KitchenAid TSV coming up in early December.  I'm in the market for the 5 qt. mixer, the hand mixer, and the convection oven, so hopefully the TSV is one of those items.

If anyone knows what it will be, please let us know! 😉

I will be surprised if they don't have a stand mixer coming up for the TSV. It seems like every year they have an awesome deal going on around Christmas.

@happycat   Even if the Q has one, I would be concerned about getting it in time if waiting for it to be a TSV.  I have packages that get shipped after sitting in processing for awhile, and then they seem to take forever being processed at my local post office.   The shipping time is crazy now, especially now that it seems most Christmas gifts will be purchased on-line.

There is a Cuddl Duds item that I ordered in early October that has been somewhere in transit since the last day it was tracked....October 19th.   It was shipped on Oct 14, and now is telling me "Your package may be delayed. We are adjusting delivery plans". 

I guess that message means that it's lost....
