Don't care for them, myself, but, looking at the pink wonder why they didn't give it a glossy shine ?

Looks chalky. Other colors are prettier.

My KA  mixer is over 40 yers old.  It works just fine. I love the new colors and it is tempting, but I will live with my almond color vintage model.

i suppose I could get my DH to paint my mixer a fun color. He is an ace and professional at painting cars. Hmmmm. Something to think about.

Re: Kitchen Aid mixers

[ Edited ]

@SharkE  Not a fan of the matt finish either. I guess the reason for the matt finish would be it not showing fingerprints. I have a red KitchenAid mixer on my counter all the time. I really like to end my baking by cleaning up the mixer and seeing it shine. Then I can enjoy the cookies! Smiley Wink

@Carmie : Please keep your vintage mixer because it was made with sturdy parts and no plastic junk.😊

Funny how everyone's preferences are different. I love the pink one and if I didn't already have a kitchenaid mixer I would have definitely ordered at first presentation. I really like that powdery look.

@Carmie- My almond mixer is over 40 yrs. old and works just fine.  It is a 4 1/2 qt. and the bowl did not have a handle.  I was watching America's Test Kitchen and they reviewed the 4 1/2 qt. mixer as their preferred mixer.  I noticed they use the 5qt. bowl in their presentations.  I bought the 5 qt. stainless bowl and the flexedge beater and they work great on my mixer.  Regarding the new colors, they are pretty but I just can't justify the expense.  You can get colorful designer decals (look online) to add color.

@WORKING GAL   I also bought a new bigger bowl with a handle for my mixer.  At Christmas baking time, I use both SS bowls.  I have attachments for pasta and another one to chop and cut that fits on top.  Almost forgot, I have the sifter too.

I have two wire whip beaters and two white flat beaters....I don't have the flex edge beater, but I am thinking  about it.

@SharkE - It looks like QVC isn't offering it this time, but have you seen the new hibiscus color that debuted this year? Available in the stand mixer and blender...

I love my Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer and mine is in white. The first one I purchased was red and I loved it for awhile but woke up one day and didn't want red in my kitchen anymore. I had to learn the hard way. Smiley Frustrated
