Anybody else like their products whether it's bakeware, books, utensils, etc. I just bought their round bun pan. Like stoneware to bake rolls in. My big 9x13 pan is by Rada and I bought that at Amazon. Heavy and real scratchy surface, but, they seem to bake stuff better.

You can't find stoneware in the stores. B&B just carry the pizza pans.

Thanks for the tip about their bakeware . I do use their flour, and my baking results are so much better than when using other brands. I will check out the other products.

I am an avid King Arthur fan. DH and I stopped in Vermont back in September on our way home from Canada (we had been to Quebec to an ACDC concert), just to take a KA baking class on sticky buns. It was a great baking class and we both had a great time. We plan to go to the KA baking classes once every fall....we really enjoyed the class we took.

I exclusively use KA flour. I am working on their soudough starter and have been baking all kind of soudough breads, from pancakes to baguettes to soft pretzels. Yum.

I have some of their stoneware and like baking in it. My kids give me a gift certificate to KA every year for Christmas. I love perusing both the website and the catalog.

IMO, you can't go wrong with King Arthur.

Yeah, it's not cheap, can't find stuff they carry any place else.

I like the fact it's American employee owned, also.

I had no idea KA made cookware!!

Have about 5 flours in the fridge and freezer of their's.

So what materials are used for the bakeware?

I can't believe people use silicone, you know that's a health disaster waiting to happen.

And even baking sheets, I lay down unbleached parchment paper because I'm suspicious of off gassing from the aluminum.

I'll have to look into this!

I like the pullman bread pans. I just threw out a very old one (decades) that started to corrode. I bought a smaller one. This is the bread pan with a lid. You don't HAVE to use the lid, but if you do, you get a squared-off loaf of bread that is great for sandwiches. I usually use it without the lid, because I'm just making toast or eating bread at breakfast. But when I want a square loaf, nothing like it.

However their prices can be kind of high. If they don't have a coupon or a free shipping offer, I get the same thing for about five dollars lessat Amazon. Same brand.

Same deal with the dough bucket--cheaper elsewhere. My dog pulled both dough bowls off the counter (she's very curious) and I lost two really great pottery bowls. They are so expensive, so now I just use a bucket to raise the bread. Plastic. Lid. Done.

Speaking of King Arthur, they had an email recipe this weekend for an oatmeal bread.

It's somewhat sweet (I cut down on the sweeteners and used only 1/2 cup of maple syrup.) It has cinnamon and you smell it when it bakes but it doesn't have a lot of cinnamon taste--I guess the essential oils bake away.

The texture is really good. This is a great whole grain bread to try on folks who say they hate whole wheat. It's not 100pct whole grain but it has a lot--oatmeal and white wheat, with some white flour. The White Wheat is worth buying. It is ground from white wheat kernels, a variety that doesn't have that bitter flavor but it's still whole wheat.

I got their new magazine today and noticed the round bun pan I just bought and paid 30 for is now 35, but, I checked the website and it's stil 29.98.

guess the website hasn't caught up with the new prices. I lucked out!
