Very little of your plastic is actually recycled anyway.
Source separate all you like. I surely do with most large plastic containers, but never my k-cups. Foolish to think those are actually recycled.
But less than 10% of what we put out as plastic "recycling" actually makes it to that point. It's ultimately landfilled, but our attempts make us feel good.
Recyclable does not equate to recycled.

I bought a stainless steel reusable k cup and use regular ground coffee. I dump the used grounds into my garden dirt.

About time!! I think it's Shameful the amount of plastic their products have added to the landfills. I only home brew pots of coffee personally -

This new machine, when available, is an option for those who don't want to use plastic cups. In fact, it is being designed to accommodate plastic cups!
It's in development, will be beta tested this fall and won't be available to the general public for awhile.
Meanwhile, I'm stocking up on my plastic K-cups from the Keurig site!
@They Call Me MR Wilkes I think I'll stock up too!

My husband just bought the Wide Awake Co. brand, just like those San Francisco ones. Good coffee. We have those but I mostly make coffee in the pot, have the side by side coffee maker. Wish the cappuccino came that way.

@TheMemphisVette I have been using that same coffee for several months now. I love that dark roast and also the packaging. Price not bad either. I'm on auto delivery.

Cameron's Coffee sells EcoPods. Nice alternative to plastic k-cups. I find their coffee to be very good, as well.

I buy the Chock Full of Nuts brand at my local grocery store. They are similar to the San Francisco brand--no plastic and work just fine in my keurig machine.
