Ok so I have the cute lil Keurig mini. It makes a cup of coffee maximum 12 oz. The water reservoir is integrated into the machine ie not removable.
This morning I noticed bit of mildew on the inner side of the reservoir lid.
Makes me wonder- do you suppose there could be mold or mildew growing inside the machine? No way to check or to clean it.
With a drip coffee maker you can run vinegar through it to clean it.
Would this be an issue of concern to you?

Could be that moisture just built up on the lid, but that would concern me that there could be mildew inside.

This is a valid question.  I've noticed that the bleach and detergent reservoirs in my washer gets black mold if it sits for a long period of time, it would make sense that there is something going on inside your Keurig.  I know that Keurig sells a special cleaner for their units, maybe try that periodically.

I've run vinegar through my Keurig Mini.

And I always leave my water reservoir open to dry out after I've used the machine.

I no longer have a Keurig because I never felt like it was clean ...it was more trouble than it was worth plus having to buy the water filters.....

Do you keep the lid open in between using the coffee maker? Just like a washer and dishwasher you must keep the lid ajar for air circulation.

My Keurig mini only holds enough water for one cup.  I always leave the lids up after making my cup of coffee.  And I periodically run vinegar through it to clean it out.  Love my Keurig mini.  I've never seen any sign of mold.

@Suzeecat

I never use the dispensers: just put in at the beginning of the original fill cycle ( the softener is an open cup atop the center post, open to the air in the washer ).

Keurig makes kcups that you put in and it cleans the machine. I got a package from a...zon, but you could probably get one wherever K cups are sold.  Also sold at W.mart etc. 6 for 9.95.
